Files and text in our tools
Our image, PDF and text tools do their work inside your web browser, on your own device. The photos, PDFs and text you use them on are not uploaded to us. The Word Counter and Character Counter keep your text in your browser so it is still there if you come back, until you press Clear.
Ratings
When you rate a tool, we receive the number of stars you choose. Ratings are kept only as totals for each tool and are not linked to you. To stop repeat ratings we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address for 30 days, then delete it. We never store the address itself with your rating.
Spam protection
The contact form and ratings use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people and robots apart. It may collect details about your browser and device and set its own cookies, under the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies and browser storage
The website keeps a small amount of information in your browser so it works properly, for example that you already rated a tool. It uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings.
Server logs
Like every website, our web host keeps standard logs of visits, such as your internet address, browser and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.

Messages you send us
When you write to us through the contact page or by email, we receive your name, email address and message, and which product it is about if you tell us. We use this only to answer you and to help with the product.

To use any of these rights, email support@tooljot.com. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
Tool ratings are kept only as totals, so they cannot be traced back to you.
EEA, Switzerland and the UK. We use personal information to provide our products, based on our legitimate interests in running and improving them, and to meet legal obligations. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California. You have the right to know what we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for personalised ads.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our products change, for example when we add a product, a feature or a service. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page or in the product.
