This is the part of ToolJot's privacy policy for Crown Sudoku. In it, "ToolJot", "we" and "us" means ToolJot.
Ads
Crown Sudoku is free because it shows ads: a banner ad, a full-screen ad now and then between puzzles, and ads you choose to watch for a hint, to keep playing or for double coins. They come from Google AdMob and the partners it works with, such as Unity Ads.
What ad companies collect
When an ad is shown, Google AdMob and its partners, such as Unity Ads, may collect device details, identifiers, your rough location from your internet address, and whether you saw or tapped an ad. They use this to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies. Read how Google uses data from apps and the Unity privacy policy.
Consent. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent before showing personalised ads.
Tracking. The game asks for permission before using your advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
Remove Ads purchase
Crown Sudoku sells a one-time Remove Ads purchase, which turns off the banner ad and the full-screen ads between puzzles, and adds coins, hints and the Royal crown and sword. Ads you choose to watch stay available. Payment is handled by Apple, and we never see your card or payment details.
We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) to check the purchase and remember that it was made, also on your other devices. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID, your device type and your purchase history. This is not linked to your name or Apple ID, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. When an ad is shown or tapped, the game also tells RevenueCat which ad network and type of ad it was and what it earned, with the same random ID, so we can see ad income next to purchases. This contains no personal information.
Ratings
Crown Sudoku may show Apple's own rating pop-up or open its App Store review page. Apple handles ratings, and we do not see who rated.
Crash reports
If you share analytics with app developers in your device's Settings, Apple sends us crash reports from Crown Sudoku so we can fix them. They are not linked to you.
Help and contact
Contact Us in the game's Settings opens an email to us at support@tooljot.com. We use what you send us only to answer you.
Your progress
Your puzzles in progress, solved counts, coins, hints, the crown and sword styles you own and your settings are saved on your device. When iCloud is on, they are also saved in your own iCloud through Apple, tied to your Apple Account, so they come back on your other iPhones and after a reinstall. We can't see or access this data.
It is gone when you delete the game and turn iCloud off for it, or when you delete its data in Settings > Apple Account > iCloud.
Data collected
- Purchases: your purchase history, through RevenueCat. Not linked to you and not used for tracking.
- Identifiers: a random app user ID for purchases, and device identifiers for ads. Your advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking.
- Usage data: whether you saw or tapped an ad, collected by the ad companies.
- Diagnostics: crash reports from Apple, only if you share them.
Crown Sudoku uses no analytics of its own and needs no account.
