How it plays.
Playing
How to play
Tap anywhere along the top of the bowl to drop a slime. You can see the next slime that is coming on the side, so you can plan where to put the current one. When two slimes of the same tier touch, they merge into a single slime one tier up. The merged slime appears at the midpoint where they collided. There is no timer, so take your time and pick your spots.
Tiers and merging
There are 11 tiers in total. Only the first five tiers can drop in from the top, with smaller slimes appearing more often than larger ones. The bigger tiers, 6 through 11, can only be reached by merging your way up. Tier 11 is the biggest, and getting one is the win condition. You can keep playing afterwards if you want to chase a higher score.
Soft-body physics
Every slime in the bowl is a real soft body. Under the hood each one is a ring of small mass points held together by springs, with a heavier point in the middle keeping it anchored. That means slimes wobble when they land, squish when something heavy lands on them, and slide around each other like real jelly. Their outlines deform in real time, so two touching slimes feel each other at their actual current shape, not a fixed circle.
The danger line
There is a faint red line near the top of the bowl. If a slime settles above that line and stays there for about a second, the game ends. Slimes that are still moving or bouncing do not count. Only settled slimes trigger game over, so you have a little time to merge your way out of trouble.
Scoring
You score points every time slimes merge. Bigger merges score more, so chasing the higher tiers is how you climb the leaderboard. If you are signed into Game Center, your high score and tier achievements will be submitted automatically.
Game over and revive
When the game ends, you see your final score and whether you beat your high score. You can optionally watch a short video ad to revive your game and keep playing from where you left off.
Settings & data
Settings
Tap the gear icon in the top corner to open Settings. Haptic Feedback turns the vibrations on or off; Sound Effects controls the drop, merge, and ambient sounds; Reset Game wipes the current bowl and starts a new game (your high score and coins stay); Rate App opens the App Store; and Share App lets you share Slime Merge with someone. There is also a link to the privacy policy.
Coins and power-ups
Coins are earned by playing. There are no in-app purchases, so the only way to get them is to keep merging. You can spend coins in-game on power-ups, which help in tight spots without changing the core game.
Your saved data
Your high score, current game, coins, and settings are saved locally on your phone. Game Center leaderboard scores are stored by Apple, not by us. If you delete the app and reinstall it, your local progress will be gone. Your Game Center scores stay with Apple and reappear once you sign in again.
